Hunting leases border White River, Routt and
San Isbal National Forest.
Completely furnished cabins and lodges on most leases.
Maximum of 4-8 Deer and Elk hunters per lease, only one group per lease.
Prices range from $1600 - $2000 per hunter.
I began Deer Hunting and Elk Hunting in Colorado over 25 years ago.
We find the do-it-yourself non-guided hunt on private property to be most
fulfilling and productive hunting experience available.
We and the landowners have
designated a low number of Deer and Elk hunters (4-8) per season on each
lease to guarantee a non-crowded, highly productive Elk and Deer hunting
environment. Our leases offer a wide selection of accommodations. We have
leases with cabins, camping availability or if you wish a motel stay in
the nearest town. The use of ATV's is permitted and encouraged on all our
Deer and Elk hunting leases.

Lease #1 Eagle
Rock Ranch $2000 per hunter
Lease is located 3 miles south of Yampa off Highway 131. Hunting Unit 15.
Property joins Routt National Forest. Timber consists of oak, cedar and
aspen. Combination elk and deer. Lodging consists of a nice, completely
furnished trailer. I require six (6) hunters per season.
Lease #2 Todd Creek Ranch $1800 per
hunter
Lease is located 6 miles south of Yampa off Highway 131. Hunting Unit 15.
Property joins Routt National Forest and BLM land. Timber consists of oak
and aspen. Combination elk and deer. Lodging available in Yampa. I require
six (6) hunters per season.
Lease #3 Stout
Ranch $2000 per hunter
Lease is located 14 miles south of Silt, up Garfield Creek. Hunting Unit 42.
Property joins DOW Garfield Creek area and BLM. Timber consists of oak,
juniper, cedar and aspen. Combination elk and deer hunting. Lodging consists
of a nice, completely furnished cabin. I require six to eight (6-8) hunters
per season.
Lease #4 McPhersons $1800 per
hunter
Lease located 15 miles south of Silt, up West Divide Creek road. Hunting
Unit 42,. Property joins White River National Forest. Timber consists of
oak, cedar and aspen. Combination elk and deer hunting. Lodging available in
Silt, New Castle or camping. I require two-four (2-4) hunters per season..
Lease #5 Grange Stevens Gulch Ranch
$2200 per hunter
Lease located 7 miles north of Paonia off Highway 133. Hunting Unit 521.
Property joins Gunnison National Forest. Timber consists of oak and aspen.
Combination elk and deer hunting. Lodging consists of a nice, completely
furnished cabin. I require six (6) hunters per season.
Lease #6 Grange
Bull Mt. Ranch $1800 per hunter
Lease located 2 miles west off Highway 133 and 7 miles north of Paonia
Reservoir. Hunting Unit 521. Property joins Gunnison National Forest. Timber
consists of oak and aspen. Combination elk and deer hunting. Lodging at
Crystal Meadows Cabins at Reservoir. I require six (6) hunters per season.
Lease #7 Spring
Canyon Ranch $2000 per hunter
Lease is located 16 miles southwest of Montrose off Davewood Road. Hunting
Unit 62. Property joins Uncompahgre National Forest and BLM land. Timber
consists of pines, oak and aspen. Combination elk and deer hunting. Lodging
consists of a nice furnished cabin. I require four (4) hunters per season.
Lease #8 High
Mesa Ranch $2000 per hunter
The lease is located 23 miles southeast of Montrose at Cimaron and off
Highway 50, 12 miles south. This lease is part of the famous Cimarron RIver
Ranch. Hunting unit 65. Property joins Cimarron River Wildlife Area and BLM
land. Timber consists of oak and aspen. Combination deer and elk hunting.
Lodging available at Black Canyon cabins. I require six (6) hunters per
season.
Lease #9 Cimarron High Country Ranch
$1800 per hunter
Lease is located 23 miles southeast of Montrose, at Cimarron, off Hwy 50, 8
miles South. Hunting Unit 65. Timber consists of oak, pine and aspen.
Combination elk and deer hunting. Lodging available at Black Canyon cabins
and lodging near by. I require six to eight (6-8) hunters per season.
Lease #11 Lazy J Ranch $1800 per hunter
Lease is located 23 miles east of Montrose at Cimarron, off Hwy 50. Hunting
Unit 65. Timber consists of oak and aspen. Combination elk and deer hunting.
Lodging available at Black Canyon cabins or other cabins near by. I require
four (4) hunters per season.
Lease #12 Down's Kinikin Road Ranch
$1800 per hunter
Lease located 12 miles south of Montrose off Kinkin Road. Hunting Unit 65.
Property joins BLM land. Timber consists of oak and aspen. Deer hunting and
3rd and 4th Season Elk. Lodging available in Montrose. I require four (4)
hunters per season.
Lease #13 Hairpin Creek Ranch $1800
per hunter
Lease is located 18 miles east of Montrose, off Hwy 50, and Kinikin Road.
Hunting Unit 65. Timber consists of oak and aspen. Combination elk and deer
hunting. Lodging available in Montrose. I require four to six (4-6) hunters
per season.
Lease #14 AS Ranch $2200 per hunter
Lease located 8 miles south of Northwood. Hunting Unit 70. Property joins
BLM land. Timber consists of oak and aspen. Elk hunting. Lodging consists of
a completely two story lodge. I require four to six (4-6) hunters per
season.
Lease #15 Twin Spanish Peaks Ranch
$2000 per hunter
Lease located 18 miles southwest of Walsenburg. Hunting Unit 85. Property
joins San Isabel National Forest. Timber consists of pine, oak and aspen.
Combination elk and deer hunting. Lodging consists of a completely furnished
cabin. I require four (4) hunters per season.
