ABOUT US: Central Illinois Outfitters' mission is to acquire and manage Central Illinois land tracts to produce the best trophy whitetail hunting in the world and the best upland game hunting in the Midwest. We guarantee that we will do our best to fulfill this mission every day. In fulfilling this mission, we will give you, our guests, the opportunity to see and harvest the "buck of a lifetime" and to have the "most fun you've ever had: hunting upland game.
  CIO has been referred to as the "most premier" whitetail destination in the world. Our mission is to maximize your chances of harvesting a buck of a lifetime. The only possible way to do this is to intensely manage the farms with as little pressure as possible on the wildlife. We have a year round staff of guides that love what they do and it shows! They tend to existing food plots, put in new food plots and work on projects that improve the habitat on our farms. Because these guides are with us year round they become very familiar with the patterns and the movement of the wildlife. CIO is not just committed to the hunting season, we are here year round helping to preserve our reputation as the "most premier" whitetail destination in the world.

OUR PROPERTY: Central Illinois Outfitters offers 23,000 acres of intensively managed Illinois hunting lands for the ultimate Whitetail experience. Our 13,000 acre flagship property, "The Grigsby", is located in both Cass and Menard Counties. Fulton County consists of 3,200 acres. This farm had the #1 Boone and Crocket harvested in 2005. Montgomery County has 4,500 acres of prime Illinois hunting ground. The McCormick farm consists of 1500 intensively managed acres. A new addition of 1000 acres in Jersey County will be for archery only self guided hunts. These farms have been lightly hunted over the years. With CIO, we will give you 100 percent of our effort to make your harvest a trophy of a lifetime. All of our properties consist of rolling hills, trees, streams, grasslands, food plots, and waterways meandering throughout prime Illinois farmland. Our properties are consistently being upgraded and improved. Cool season grass plantings are being converted into warm season grasses. New food plots for deer and upland game are being planted every year.

DEER HUNTS: The biggest factors contributing to harvesting a Trophy Whitetail Buck are: proven genetics, food, pressure, weather, hunting skills and some good luck added in to the mix. We know that the genetics, crops and lack of pressure on this 13,000 acres are as good as it gets. The weather of course is unpredictable and our biggest variable, but we will control what we can and do our best to ensure that our hunters will have their best chance of shooting a Trophy Buck.
  Each hunter is allowed to harvest One Buck, Unlimited Does and a Turkey and as a condition to hunt with us, you must read and sign our rules list upon arrival. Through our Trophy Management Program, a "Shooter" is defined as a Buck with a minimum of 8 points and a 16 inch inside spread or scores 130" P & Y. A $500 fine will be charged for all small bucks taken not meeting the minimum requirements and an additional $500 fine if you shoot a small buck on your last day.

All prices on our FULLY guided hunt include (licenses are not included), guides, comfortable on-site lodging, home-cooked meals, trophy pictures, caping and storage. This is a five full day hunt with a half day before and after, to come and go.

All prices on our SELF guided hunt include (licenses are not included), hunting and lodging.

Waiting List: All hunters will be notified between Dec 15th and Jan 1st regarding the dates for their hunt.

REFUNDS: Refunds will ONLY be given if WE CANNOT accommodate your hunt

If we can accommodate your hunt and you choose not to hunt with us your deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE!
