DEER MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION
Members
of the Cape Fear River Branch of QDMA (CFRB) have been busy drafting a
2007 schedule of local events that promises to be both educational and
fun. We are seeking your support – please consider
serving as a board member; an activity volunteer; and/or provide your
support by sending a personal or business financial contribution (tax
receipts will be provided).

MEETING – A Wild Game BBQ – MARCH 17th!

Volunteers
for numerous activities are also being sought. Elections
will be held at the BBQ on March 17th (begins a noon), located at Ralph
Stevens & Hwy 55, in Fuquay-Varina.
Please consider giving of your time and expertise. Volunteer
support is not only personally rewarding, but also a lot of fun!
Any amount of time contributed makes a difference.
Enjoy
a great meal of venison, caribou, wild pig (or hot dogs); learn how to
improve your deer herds through Quality Deer Management; take part in an
archery seminar; enter the fishing contest; challenge your kids or
significant other to a BB Gun Shot Off; and enter the minnow race for
fun and prizes! No entry fee is required; all
donations will support our 2007 activities and will be appreciated.

YOUTH MENTOR PROGRAM FUNDRAISER
Two
(2) guns are currently being raffled – proceeds will be used to
support the Youth QDM Mentor program described below. 12
tickets for $10. Winners will be announced at the
Dixie Deer Classic on Sunday March 4th ; you do not need to
be present to win.

2007 ACTIVITIES
CFRB
will continue to promote the QDMA mission through recreational public
service events, including but not limited to the following events:
EDUCATIONAL
EVENTS

Through its Quality
Deer Management Youth Mentor program, trained CFRB volunteers
will promote hunter safety; introduce youth to the comprehensive
full-year program of herd monitoring, habitat management,
herd management, and hunter management; and provide these youth with
guided, educational hunting opportunities; each activity aimed at
developing ethical sportsmen and women of tomorrow

CFRB will provide free
quarterly educational seminars, which are open to both QDMA
members and the public, on a wide variety of educational topics
·
CFRB will present at area
hunt clubs and civic groups free of charge by invitation.

Opportunities for Women, and our Disabled Veterans

Each
of the above activities will be provided entirely through volunteer
support, and funded by individual
and corporate donations.

Your
financial support of the Cape Fear River Branch of QDMA is vital to its
mission. Your monetary contribution, or contribution of
products or services, will be recognized both on the CFRB website and at
CFRB events. All donations to this non-profit organization qualify
as tax-deductible; and a tax receipt will be promptly provided upon
request. Contributions may be made
